Shyla Joins Blue Truffle!
Please join me in welcoming Shyla Murray, our newest employee, a jazz studies major and public relations minor at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey to the Blue Truffle Music team. As an upright bassist and journalist
Shyla has quickly carved herself a place in local music journalism, publishing several jazz articles as features editor for her campus newspaper, The Beacon. Shyla hopes to weave her music journalism and upright bass skills into a career that also compliments her aspiration for doing Christian missionary work. Her favorite hobbies include water-coloring, visiting and exploring both natural and urban destinations, and prepping for her next
interview!

As a member of the Blue Truffle Music team, we are confident
that Shyla will continue to hone her storytelling, networking and media skills while making valuable contributions to Blue Truffle Music, the jazz community and the world of music journalism. Her responsibilities include interviewing jazz musicians for our upcoming Blue Truffle artist spotlight series, assisting with social media campaigns and website updates, and the promotion of sponsored events (e.g., jazz concerts, jam sessions, fundraisers, etc.).
