Carl Clements - Sax, Flute & Indian Flute

As one of today's most sought-after saxophonists, Carl regularly performs jazz and world music in jazz clubs and festivals throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. Carl has several upcoming gigs, most notably duo with pianist Stephen Page at The Deck as part of the Northampton Jazz Festival on September 5 at 8:30; trio including Brooklyn-based bassist Howard Britz at the Lilypad, Cambridge, MA, on Oct. 4 at 4:00; and, duo with drummer Bob Weiner at the Hope and Feathers Gallery in Amherst, MA as part of "Play to the Paintings" series, featuring musical responses to Amanda Barrow's artwork on October 18. See the Blue Truffle Gig Calendar for more information about these as well as Carl's other upcoming gigs.

TWO SHADES OF BLUE features five original compositions by Ed Byrne (leader, slide trombone, valve trombone) as well as stellar early-career performances by several of today's most esteemed jazz artists.  Originally recorded in 1985 (Suite I) and 1999 (Suite II), TWO SHADES OF BLUE has never been formally released. Ed Byrne, Grammy Award winning trombonist, composer, arranger, educator, Doctor of Musical Arts, and author has performed and recorded with a great many of the world's jazz and Latin musicians (including a Grammy Award as trombonist with Eddie Palmieri's band).
