Kassetas-Spanos- JUNGLE OF ILLUSIONS

Features a fusion of Eastern textures and modal harmonies composed and performed by Yiannis Kassetas and George Spanos, accompanied by several of the finest jazz musicians in Greece.  Saxophoinist, composer and arranger Yiannis Kassetas is back in Athens, Greece after recent tours to the United States and Puerto Rico.  Drummer, composer and arranger George Spanos recently from Athens to New York City where he regularly performs with John Zorn, Juni Booth, and many other NYC jazz artists.

New Brunswick Jazz Project - 5 Year Anniversary

Since 2010 the New Brunswick Jazz Project has been making Central Jersey a destination for great jazz by bringing world-renowned veteran musicians and emerging talent to local venues every week.  The New Brunswick Jazz Project celebrated its 5th year anniversary with a party featuring the Mark Gross Quintet at the New Brunwsick Hyatt on April 11.  At this party, co-founder Virginia DeBerry was awarded with a Jazz Heroine award by the Jazz Journalists Association for her outstanding contributions to the jazz community.
