STONE GROOVE, featuring 2 exciting trios led by drummer Greg Sundel, one of the greater New York City area's most exciting and sought-after jazz drummers, is the newest addition to the Blue Truffle Music Store.  While all tunes feature both Greg on drums and Matt Chertkoff on guitar, the first 9 tunes feature Don Kastelnik on organ and the remaining 6 tunes feature bassist Rick Crane.

Paris-based, singer and saxophonist Marc Thomas, one of Europe’s most critically acclaimed jazz artists, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. His unique scat singing and amazing energy during live performances led to his status as one of Europe’s most in-demand jazz artists.   Our condolences to his family, friends and fans. He will be remembered by many for his amazing music.

TWO SHADES OF BLUE features five original compositions by Grammy Award winning trombonist, composer, arranger, educator, Doctor of Musical Arts, and author Ed Byrne (leader, slide trombone, valve trombone) as well as stellar early-career performances by Victor Lewis, the late Milton Cardona, John Abercombie, Jim McNeely, Ron McClure and several of today's most esteemed jazz artists. 

As one of today's most active saxophonists, Carl regularly performs jazz and world music in jazz clubs and festivals throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia.

Features a fusion of Eastern textures and modal harmonies composed and performed by Yiannis Kassetas and George Spanos, accompanied by several of the finest jazz musicians in Greece.  Saxophoinist, composer and arranger Yiannis Kassetas is back in Athens, Greece after recent tours to the United States and Puerto Rico.  Drummer, composer and arranger George Spanos recently from Athens to New York City where he regularly performs with John Zorn, Juni Booth, and many other NYC jazz artists.
